#SHRM17 – Making the Most of Your Experience

In June, I’ll be heading down to New Orleans to once again join the ranks of the SHRM Annual Blogging and Social Media team.  Stay tuned over the next few months for various posts on what to expect, session and speaker previews, and on-site coverage of the happenings throughout the event.

 

Every year in mid to late June, the SHRM Annual Conference and Expo draws thousands and thousands of HR professionals to a designated city for the mecca of all things HR-related.  And every year, a fair portion of those thousands are first-time attendees.  In fact, it wasn’t that awfully long ago that I was one of those first-time attendees.  I was lucky that during my first annual conference, I had a lot of folks I knew there to help show me the ropes.  But nonetheless, I learned very quickly that as amazing of an experience as it is, SHRM Annual can also be very overwhelming if you don’t know what to expect.
