#VegasStrong at #HRTechConf

Next week I’ll be joining thousands of other HR professionals as we converge on Las Vegas for the 20th annual HR Technology Conference and Exposition.  I’ve already written about my thoughts on the upcoming show.  This post serves a different purpose.

Last Sunday, October 1st, an unthinkable act of terror occurred in Vegas, the place that with only a few exceptions, has been the home of HR Tech for a number of years.  All of our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and all of the first responders and heroes that raced to the scene to help.

In the wake of this tragedy, the organizers of the HR Tech Conference are coordinating with a local gofundme site organized by Las Vegas County Commissioner Steve Sisolak to raise money for the victims of the Las Vegas shooting and their families.  I’ll borrow a Facebook post from my friend and HR colleague Heather Bussing that explains what’s happening beautifully…
